Programs offered during Geneseo Central School breaks (Winter/Spring)
Geneseo Central School District:
The school district will occasionally bring in authors of children's books for read alouds and "meet the author" events.
SUNY Geneseo:
SUNY Geneseo (especially within the Education Department) promotes many opportunities for the students in both undergraduate and graduate programs to volunteer at KidStart (now closed) and at Geneseo Central School District. These opportunities involve reading to younger children or other types of literacy instruction.
Local Festivals:
Geneseo offers local art and music festivals throughout the year that at times foster literacy opportunities, such as child entertainers that do read/sing-a-longs.
